Arrival Day One Boracay

Arrived yesterday evening at Boracay Regency at 6 pm in the evening.  Started from Barrio Barretto, Zambales at 7 am.  Took van via Subic Bay Free Port, then north on Subic, Clark, Tarlac Expressway (SCTEX), then south on North Luzon Expressway (NLEX) to Manila.  Traffic was slow into Manila, and backed-up along Roxas Blvd to airport.  Arrived airport about 1030 AM.  Check-in at domestic airport was easy.  Flight on Philippine Airlines was delayed about 15 minutes, departed at 1345 PM.  Flight time was 50 minutes.  Waited 15 minutes for bags, had to check one additional  bag in Manila, was not allowed to hand carry snorkeling fins and camera tripod onto flight.  Will have to pick-up an extra bag in Boracay.   90 minute bus ride from Kalibo to Catiklan, then 3 minute van ride to Boracay Regency boat area.  Transported to Boracay via high speed boat; took less than 5 minutes.  Then 10 minute van ride to hotel.  After arriving

at Boracay Regency looked for a place to eat.  Ate at Bug’s Grill for 380 peso per person, was ok, not great.  A couple of drinks at Coco Bar, part of Red Coconut hotel.  Then to bed for the night.

      Jim,
Thanks. I need to catch up my blog. It is very hot here, I have a cold from going in and out of air conditioning spaces. Happens a lot until body adjusts.
