Day Two Boracay – Part Four

In the evening at dinner at the Alf’s along the beach.  The meal was better than the first night.   Cost was 380.00 pesos per person.   After finishing dinner,  watched and took a few vidoes of fire dancers along the beach.   Went to the “D Mall to check-out the shops.

Forget to mentioned that I linked up with my wife and sister-in-law at Boracay Regency East Wing Swimming Pool late in the afternoon.   The pool has a swim up bar.  Outstanding place to relax and cool off after a long day.   Bar open until 10 pm.

Day Two Boracay – Part Three

After finishing touring station three and southern portion of station two, returned to the room for a few hours to escape the afternoon heat.    Then left wife and sister-in-law at the pool.

Headed out to station two near Boracay Regency to shoot photos and videos.   I captured a excellent video of the sun setting along station two.   In the late afternoon the view is excellent, there were several banca and sailing boats crossing the horizon as the sun was setting.   I used my Canon Rebel T2 to shoot the video.   I was amazed by the quality of the video.  I highly recommend Canon cameras, my first Canon was an original AE One Black Body, still have in California, but in retirement.

Additionally, I set up my camera and took a few vidoes of poeple walking up and down the beach path.  The videos will give a prespective of how busy station two can be in the afternoon.   Plan on posting vidoes to web site later this year.

Day Two Boracay – Part Two (18 APRIL 2012)

After finishing breakfast returned to the room and picked up snorkeling gear then headedto the beach.   The water clarity was extremely good along the beach.  Spent thirty minutes testing new fins.  Observed small schools of white fish three to five inches in length along the beach.   Not sure on the type of fish;  if anyone knows please send me a reply.

Returned to room and jumped into the pool for a cool off.   After an hour of swimming, cleaned up and changed, thne headed south towards station three to check out shops and restaurants.

Eat lunch at Andok’s, they specialize in chicken recipes.   Very crowded during lunch time and warm in side.   After ordering, you have to locate your own table.  We waited for a group to leave and sat next to the restaurant opening so that there was a light breeze.

Day Two Boracay – Early In the Morning

On day two went out to the beach at 0545 AM and headed north towards Station One.  Walked up to Willey’s rock to shot photos.  There were a few of the dragon boat crews jogging on the beach.  Next week is the dragon  boat races.  There were about a dozen people near Willey’s Rock.

Arrival Day One Boracay

Arrived yesterday evening at Boracay Regency at 6 pm in the evening.  Started from Barrio Barretto, Zambales at 7 am.  Took van via Subic Bay Free Port, then north on Subic, Clark, Tarlac Expressway (SCTEX), then south on North Luzon Expressway (NLEX) to Manila.  Traffic was slow into Manila, and backed-up along Roxas Blvd to airport.  Arrived airport about 1030 AM.  Check-in at domestic airport was easy.  Flight on Philippine Airlines was delayed about 15 minutes, departed at 1345 PM.  Flight time was 50 minutes.  Waited 15 minutes for bags, had to check one additional  bag in Manila, was not allowed to hand carry snorkeling fins and camera tripod onto flight.  Will have to pick-up an extra bag in Boracay.   90 minute bus ride from Kalibo to Catiklan, then 3 minute van ride to Boracay Regency boat area.  Transported to Boracay via high speed boat; took less than 5 minutes.  Then 10 minute van ride to hotel.  After arriving

at Boracay Regency looked for a place to eat.  Ate at Bug’s Grill for 380 peso per person, was ok, not great.  A couple of drinks at Coco Bar, part of Red Coconut hotel.  Then to bed for the night.
